Will My Scar Dot From A Pen Stabbing Blue Ink Under The Skin Go Away
Probably not.: Pen ink can actually act as a tattoo. The discoloration may respond to one or more laser treatments. Alternatively, and perhaps even simpler, is to excise the area as if it were a mole, but this may result in a small scar. It is best to check with your plastic surgeon. ...Read moreSee 3 more doctor answers
Have a growth on chest that has grown larger over the past 7 years. Feels rubbery, looks like a scar. Started under the skin beebee size, now 4cm long?
Chest lesion: It may be any number of skin lesions or masses. If you have had an injury there it may be a poorly healing scar, hypertrophic scar, or keloid. If not and is under the skin it could be an abnormal growth or cyst. In a young healthy person, it's probably benign (non-cancerous) but either way if it is growing you should have a doctor evaluate it to make a diagnosis. ...Read moreSee 1 more doctor answer

Scar fibrosis: Even without an entry wound, an injury to the soft tissues (like a severe bruise) or bleeding within the fat or muscle can cause damage leading to permanent scarring. Time softens things significantly. ...Read moreSee 1 more doctor answer
I have a tiny bump under the skin. It's about a whole fingertip length away from my csection scar. I'm not sure what it is or if I should be worried?
Old abrasion turned into a discolored scar that looks wrong and sometimes itches. Could it be an under the skin infection?
Unlikely: While it is conceivable to have an infection, it's very unlikely. In all likelihood, your scar is irritated and is changing colors do to that irritation. A trial of something like vaseline over the top of the scar for a week or two and trying to scratch it, will make a big difference. If you have further questions please see your doctor. ...Read more

Will the rash caused by scabies wreck any of the ink in my tattoos? Will the burrowing cause any kind of scarring on top of the skin?
Unlikely, but . . .: Inflammation, rash, and scratching has a potential to cause your body to degrade and absorb some of the tattoo ink in localized spots. Cure the scabies, don't scratch in the meantime, and watch those sexual contacts. There are worse things that can happen than your tats fading a bit. ...Read more
