I have been experienced low grade fever for 3 month in nigeria. I was diagnosed malaria. What type of malaria parasite has such symptoms?
Malaria: Hard to know without seeing the blood smear slides. The likelihood is that it is not p. Falciparum, but any of the other species can potentially produce this clinical picture.

Low grade fever, chills, nausea, headache, burning eyes, for the last three weeks, 70 year old woman, healthy otherwise and Active?
Need more info: What's low grade? Recurring fever is usually a sign of a significant problem, especially if you have other symptoms or problems. Some infections such as malaria can do this, relapsing mediterranean fever (rare). Some inflammatory condition even like rheumatoid arthritis can do it. Some cancers like lymphoma come to mind. If you feel fine, some people just have higher 'normal" temperatures.
Teething fever?: I don't think anyone can answer that question for sure. There seems to be a disagreement in the dental and medical community on that issue. It's possible. Having said that, if your child has a low grade fever, I would check with your own pediatrician as to what he\she believes and whether it would be a good idea to have your child in for an evaluation.See 1 more doctor answer
Not a fever: Sorry, that's not a fever - and there is no medical definition of "low-grade" fever. Normal human body temperatures fluctuate during the day even up to 100 degrees, and can be influenced by activity and ambient temperatures.See 1 more doctor answer
Yes it can: Depending on circumstances, a temp of 99, 5 F with allergic rhinitis can occur.
What would cause a low grade fever for 3 months? Complete blood count and multiple cultures all normal.
Several dozen things: Continue your evaluation with the treating physician.
May not need to...: The most common cause of elevated body temperature/fever is viral illness/infection. It is a defense mechanism your body is mounting in attempt to rid off the infection quicker--heat speeds up chemical reaction, thus body can work a bit quicker. If it is mild and not causing symptoms for you, leave it alone. If too high, motrin/tylenol as needed for comfort. Consult doc if much worse. Good luck.
