The hamate has a : Part of it called the hook. This can get contused but it can also be fractured and standard x-rays may miss this. Special views and at times a ct scan are needed to diagnose and characterize this fracture. R arm tightness: Could be due to repetitive use . Does your pinkey feel numb or tingling? That together with upper arm suggests thoracic outlet syndrome.
