I had left foot surgery 8 months ago(navicular area). My foot has been hurting a lot also causing ankle pain. Can the mitek bone anchor be removed?

It would be : Difficult to remove but it can be removed. I would question whether or not its the actual anchor that is hurting. Usually a tendon is tacked down when using the anchor and perhaps the tendon is tied down to tight or something like that. In cases like this always ask the doc why he thinks you still have pain and what your options are. ...Read more

What causes my toe to be painful after 5months later after toenail surgery phenol was applied to the site callus has been removed but still sore why?

Causes for pain are:: 1: possibly all nail/its root may not have been removed; 2: recurrence from its root (matrix); 3: possible injury to the toe during healing period can delay the healing; 4: maybe a low grade infection is causing persistence of the pain. See your surgeon and if no improvement then get a second opinion. But phenol can result in local injury to the tissues which needs more time to heal completely. ...Read more

Hello, i have a planters wart on my foot and i was wondering what would happen if i got surgery to get it removed, like would it be stiched and have boot or no?

Try over the counter: treatments first. Most warts will go away on their own. If the one you have is causing problems, try any of the over the counter remedies for warts. Surgery is not usually needed. It can be frozen, if need be. For good health - Have a diet rich in fresh vegetables, fruits, whole grains, milk and milk products, nuts, beans, legumes, lentils and small amounts of lean meats. Avoid saturated fats. Drink enough water daily, so that your urine is mostly colorless. Exercise at least 150 minutes/week and increase the intensity of exercise gradually. Do not use tobacco, alcohol, weed or street drugs in any form. Practice safe sex. ...Read more

May (in-grown toe nail) recur if cured, why? Is it cured just by surgery or some medications may work ?

Matrixectomy: Unless the nail matrix (root) is removed, there is always a chance of the nail problem recurring. There is a difference between a nail matrixectomy (which is a permanent removal) versus a nail avulsion (which removes the offending portion of the nail but does not remove the root). Both procedures are in-office surgeries with local anesthesia. See a podiatrist. ...Read more
