Yes: Nothing is 100%. Hepatitis b is a bad disease and we hope if you do get it after the vaccine that it will be a much milder case. That aside, if a healthy person is exposed to hepatitis c and becomes infected with it, blood tests can often detect the new infection within 2 to 4 weeks following the exposure (hepatitis c RNA and liver enzymes). More info needed: If you have not had any HBV vaccine and your anti-hbs antibody is positive, you've had the infection (and the anti-hbc antibody is positive too). No vaccine needed.
