Question not clear: I am not sure i understand the question totally. If you are saying now that you are slowing gaining weight, it is probably related to your calorie intake, activity level and not having an increased metabolism if not nursing now. Make sure to eat right, limit sodas and sports drinks, avoid second helpings and snacks and me as active as you can be. Try a jogging baby stroller to help. ...Read more

Likely nothing: Unless you are severely underweight and malnourished (unlikely, if you are successfully breast feeding), then you probably don't need to gain weight. If you think you might be underweight, see your doctor. But if you are thin, but you eat a good, varied and healthy diet and you keep yourself well hydrated, then stop worrying about it. ...Read more

Eating more: The opposite of what you said is generally true. Breastfeeding increases one's metabolism making it easier to lose weight. I suppose the people you are referring to just ate too much. ...Read more
