Aim for 7.5 - 8 hours of sleep/ night. Daily physical activity is optimal in a green space. Eat healthfully. Cut out junk carbs, caffeine ; alcohol (or moderate). No: Stress cannot directly affect hemorrhoid tissue. It can if the stress alters your oral intake and therefore your bowel consistency or habit. Be careful about blaming hemorrhoids for pain because that is unusual and often is something else like a fissure. An external hemorrhoid with a blood clot (thrombosis) can hurt but that is easy to diagnose as it is a painful lump ...Read more

I would be intereste: In anxiety prior to flare. If alternating constipation and diarrhea could b irrtible bowel, a type of functional somatic syndrome. If pain persistent keep using the hemmorroid med, if u can't sit, may be a clot in hemmorroid. It can be hard to resolve without a procedure. You may have fissure in the skin.Treat flare, 2aleve 2x/day w/1gm tylenol 6hr. Anxiety 2b considered, tx may help ibs sx. ...Read more
