Fat is great: A youthful face is typically a fuller face, and fat injections are a great way to restore that look. However, fat does not necessarily replace surgical repositioning of tissue through lower eyelid surgery or facelift surgery. http://www.dassmd.com/facelift/facelift-in-los-angeles.html. ...Read more

Which offers a better treatment for facial wrinkles, a fat transfer or a face lift? I have deep wrinkles on my forehead and around my mouth. Will a face lift be effective to get rid of these facial wrinkles, or would injecting fat give me longer lasting r

For : For wrinkles on the forehead, consider botox. Wrinkles on the forehead are the result of contracting forehead muscles and Botox is the only treatment that truly addresses that by temporarily paralyzing the forehead muscles. A facelift is more for sagging skin and would only partially reduce the look of the forehead wrinkle. Filler substances won't address the underlying problem on the forehead. Fillers such as juvederm and Restylane (dermal fillers) work well around the mouth, though. ...Read more

I developed a severe itchiness on my face cheek, jawline, lips, neck and forehead. Went to the doctor and their anti-itch cream didn't help at all.

The doctor....: May have thought it was something else, or it is a cream that is trying to get rid of some kind of bacteria, or some kind of infection. Does a face lift remove wrinkles? I'm thinking about getting a face lift to tighten up my sagging skin, and i was wondering if it will also smooth out most of my wrinkles?

.

A : A well planned and performed facelift will support sagging tissues, including the skin and underlying fat/muscle. By lifting the facial skin as opposed to pulling it up, the face is smoothed out; however, the deeper lines although appearing smoother and softer may not disappear. Consider the leather couch that has stretched out hide. The lines remain in the leather but do not appear as deep.. Likewise, the skin after facial surgery is repositioned but may still require additional procedures to ameliorate the lines. Loss of volume in the mid-face will require structural lift with fat grafting or radiesse (dermal fillers). Complementary procedures such as skin care and laser, where appropriate, will make a big difference. ...Read more
