Can be, no, maybe: Gastroesoph reflux, backflow of stomach contents, is worsened by large meals, fatty/fried/greasy foods, alcohol, coffee, tobacco, lying down after eating, bending over after meals, exercise, tight garments, peppermint, chamomile, overweight. Perhaps not.: Your gerd may be based on lower esophageal sphinctal dysfunction - that is, the muscular valve between the esophagus and stomach doesn't close when the stomach is full or hard at work on roughage.
