Will Eating A Lot Of Bran Make You Bloat
With ibs, I don't pass a lot of bm so i'd eat. 5 cups of all-bran a day. Feelin bloated, I chnged to 2 tbls of flaxseed in smoothies. Will that work?
Improve overall diet: What type of foods are you eating. You need to have stool test done looking at aerobic and anaerobic bacteria, digestive enzymes. Also suggest food sensitivity blood test to see what foods you are sensitive to and avoid.
Passed watery stools after eating oat bran cereal and pears. I've got a bloated stomach and feeling nausea there's alot of gas in it. What is going on?
I eat raisin bran every night to poo the next morning but im also extremely bloated. Could it be cause of that? What can I do? It's contradicting
Bloated: Raisin bran will definitely draw extra fluid into your bowel and stimulate a bowel movement. Maybe try a smaller amount or alter the timing of your cereal. You can also try fruit instead. All the best.
Have raisin bran everynight so I go poo the next morning, but now it's not really working? And I feel bloated all the time. What do I do? I'm 19
I used to eat raisin bran before bed and poo in the morn. Now im constipated and bloated. What can I eat at night to go in the morning? To be regular
See pharmacist: Talk with a pharmacist who will recommend any one of many over the counter meds that will help you achieve regular bowel movements.
I eat a high fiber diet (a lot of all bran, whole wheat and veg/fruit). Is it potentially harmful to eat too much and should I be worried?
High Fiber Diet: Will most likely not encounter any problems. Make sure your bowel movements are regularl & normal. Try to eat a varied diet so your body is exposed to all sorts of vitamins, minerals, proteins & other important nutrients. A high fiber diet may lead to colonic hypertrophy which is associated with sigmoid volvulus. This is rare & usually not seen with with the type of fibers mentioned in question.
I have raisin bran every night cause it makes me poo in morning, added yogurt to diet and have lots of gas, and stomach ache in morning- not lactose.?
Yogurt contains milk: Some people are quite sensitive to milk products - and as much as I like yogurt, you might want to try stopping consumption of that and seeing how your symptoms are...If your symptoms improve, then you might want to try Lactaid or something like that to help you digest the lactose in milk. You could make your own yogurt with soy milk if you want the benefit of those 'probiotics'...capsules also OK
I was eating raisin bran and I thought I swallowed something rough or sharp but I'm not sure if I just swallowed it wrong. I'm paranoid I swallowed a piece of metal how would I know?
U are ok: If you swallowed it, you will be ok. If you notice a marked change in your bowel movements, or have sudden very sharp pain, seek medical attention.
I've been eating bran flakes 4breakfast x3 weeks. It's been working great for regularity, but belly almost feels raw &inflamed x 1 week, (not gas).?
Too much?: You might be getting a little too much bran for your system, depending on what kind you are eating. I would probably stop eating it for a few days until your symptoms resolve completely. If they don't, or if you are having additional symptoms (ex: bad pain, diarrhea, bleeding), see your doctor.
See answer: Either coincidental or your "flare ups" are not due to gallstones. The only reliable symptom of biliary colic is intense dull pain lasting at least 30 minutes and located in any of these areas: RUQ, R shoulder blade, epigastric and some times back and LUQ. Other symptoms of "Dyspepsia" such as gas, bloating, nausea, indigestion are not reliable signs that the symptoms are from the gall bladderSee 1 more doctor answer
I get acid reflux almost always (felt in lower neck) after eating All Bran Cereal. I use 2%, lactaid (lactose free) milk. Is it the bran or the milk?
I have lupus & dyautonomia. My lightheaded symptoms are always worst in the am however, even if I wake up okay, I get dizzy immeiately while eating bran flakes cereal. Might it be gluten intolertance?
Vague symptoms: Your symptoms are very vague. You need to see your family physician and be thoroughly evaluated.See 1 more doctor answer
9 weeks pregnant and constipated. I drink water and gatorade. And Jane been eating bran cereal. Haven't had a normal bowel movement for about a week.
Include more fiber: In diet! Gatorade is mainly sugar, and not so great for electrolyte replacement. There is something with less sugar called Vitamin Water, but what is even safer is coconut water (fresh). That was used in WW2 to treat wounded soldiers IV! In any case, call your OB/GYN for further direction, and eat more cooked greens and veges. Better to use organic steel cut oats, than bran (GMO).
Basically, same: There are 2 types of fiber:soluble and insoluble. Both are important for health, digestion, & preventing diseases. Soluble fiber attracts water and turns to gel during digestion. This slows digestion. Soluble fiber is in oat bran, barley, nuts, seeds, beans, lentils, peas, & some fruits/vegetables. Insoluble fiber is found in foods like wheat bran, vegetables, & whole grain. It adds bulk 2 stool.
Unprocessed whole: Foods exactly as they grow up out of the ground (almost exclusively) is the real answer. If you have constiation, almist certainly there is too much animal and refined foods in your diet. HRS, MD, FACC
Cracklin oat bran: IF Cracklin Oat Bran is the name of a boxed cereal it likely contains lots of chemicals such as additives, preservatives, sugar, etc. Thus, it is not good for you. Far better to consume bran flakes. You can put some cinnamon on them for flavor, which is also good for balancing blood sugar. Peace and good health.
