Will diazepam work if taken on a full stomach?

Will diazepam work if taken on a full stomach?

Yes: It will although all medications have a quicker onset and more marked effect if taken on an empty stomach. Think about the difference of drinking a glass of wine on an empty stomach versus having the same glass with a full meal- the effect of the wine (or buzz) is generally much less with food in the stomach. ...Read more

I have terrible pains in my stomach unbearable my doctor gave me diazepam with this help with pain please help i'm gluten free 100 per cent ?

Stomach Pain: I do not know the cause of your stomach pain. However, i can tell you that diazepam, aka valium, is not an analgesic. If your pain is due to some sort of stress or anxiety disorder, diazepam may be helpful. However, if your pain is due to an ulcer, some type of hyper acidic condition, diazepam alone may not be sufficient. Ask your physician for the cause of your pain. ...Read more

What is better to take for muscle pain that won't cause stomach problems like acid reflux, robaxin, (methocarbamol) flexeril, or diazepam?

All good, but...: Robaxin (methocarbamol) is probably best for muscle pain, in my opinion. None should upset your stomach, but I've had very good experience treating patients with muscle pain and tightness using Robaxin (methocarbamol). Flexeril and Diazepam tend to cause more drowsiness. ...Read more

Norflex, (orphenadrine) Robaxin and Skellaxin are less likely to cause dependence. Flexeril can be used short term. Baclofen is another ...Read more

Can temazepam work like diazepam?

Yes: These medicines are used to treat anxiety and insomnia, in most cases. The main differences between them are degree of sedation, dose and duration of action. Temazepam was known as restoril, and used as a sleeping pill, because of its duration of action and sedation. Diazepam is generally used for anxiety. In my practice, i don't use temazepam for treating anxiety, because it causes drowsiness. ...Read more

I am not able to sleep, if a took 2 pills of diazepam 5 mg, will it work as sleeping pills ? How longer i will sleep? Can if anyone wake me in between?

Diazepam is old: As a sleeping aid we do not use it often since it is habit forming. Cognitive behavioral therapy (cbt) is the preferred way of treating insomnia. To answer your question: people are different, some taking 5 mg diazepam and knocked out for 36 hours, and some people taking 20 mg and sleep only 2 hours. http://lasleepdr.blogspot.com/2010/03/some-technique-that-helps-you-sleep.html. ...Read more
