My uncle is on cyclobenzaprine and heartburn meds. He has had a migraine for a week. Is it okay for him to take imitrex? He also has high bp.
Migraine for a week?: Generally, you want to take a triptan for migraines asap at onset of migraine. Having a migraine for a week is quite odd. I personally prefer newer triptans with longer 1/2 lives like frova, relpax, or zomig....I also prefer treximet over just plain imitrix. If his blood pressure is controlled and does not have any present heart disease, okay to try. Expect warm pressure around head ; neck. ...Read moreSee 1 more doctor answer

Should be safe: I assume you mean pyrigesic or Acetaminophen (tylenol). This is a non-narcotic pain killer, and it should have no difficulty being combined with the muscle relaxant cyclobenzaprine (flexeril). Just stay under 4000mg, and ideally 3000mg, of pyrigesic per day for the health of your liver. ...Read more
Not enough info: There really is not enough information to answer your question.
