Obstipation: I recommend that you be examined if this is an unusual bowel problem for you. Concerning symptoms would be abdominal cramping and dissension, vomiting and complete absence of any stool for all those days. Constipation: Drinking plenty of water should help in addition to fruits and vegetables. Cereals like fiber one has plenty of fiber and will help with constipation. Also a product called (one of many) metamucil will help with those symptoms. ...Read more

Concur w/Dr. Raboubi: I would like to add a detail that may be important to this question. I agree with Dr. Raboubi that constipation in and of itself should not cause fainting spells but the straining on the toilet that a patient is inclined to do very well could cause such problems and even worse so be aware of this...and that would even be in a patient without M.S. Talk to your doctor on ways to avoid straining. ...Read more
