Will Coworkers Be A Problem When I Leave To Pick Up Baby
My oral surgeon told me to play with a baby tooth to get it to fall out but it's not even slightly lose should I just leave it alone or force it out?

Tomorrow I will be getting a tooth pulled will I be able to go to work that afternoon. I sit on a bus and monitor the students. Wasn't sure if the con?
Yes, probably: There should be no problem, especially since you'll be seated at work; but you'll need to be awake & alert. Let your dentist know what your work responsibilities are, & allow more time to be sure there is no prolonged bleeding, or faintness/lightheadedness or pain issues. You should be ok after that. Hope that helps. ...Read more
How to help loose baby teeth come out? My daughter has a loose tooth that she wants to hurry up and have come out. Is there anything she can do to help loosen it, or should she just leave it alone and let it run its course?
She : She can keep wiggling it with her fingers. Some of our little patients also have been encouraged to eat more thjan their share of apples. Not cut up, bite into them & have had some success in speeding up the process. But sometimes, you just can't do anything to control mother nature. Have patience, it will happen. ...Read moreSee 2 more doctor answers
My newborn is chocking up every time i breastfeed her. Very scary, is anything i can do to make it easier and better for her until she'll learns?
I have a 16 month old baby - i would like to know when do you decide to keep your baby at home or when he must go to school?
Socialization: It is developmentally good for most children to attend preschool around 3--the age that they can begin to understand concepts like "sharing" , "taking turns", personal space, & negotiating the social world. If you have a large family or lots of neighbor kids, you can teach the same concepts (with close supervision!) for academic success in kindergarten, start preschool by 4. ...Read moreSee 1 more doctor answer
How long will i need to watch or monitor my daughter brushing her teeth? My daughter turned six, and i think she's now able and ready to brush her teeth on her own. I want to be there to watch while she does it for a while to make sure she's doing it righ
I : I don't think one can put a specific time as to when a child is responsible enough to brush their teeth adequately. Every child matures at a different pace. How do you feel about the job your daughter is doing? Does she take at least a minute to complete her routine, or does she take 10 seconds? I would monitor her (possibly from a short distance) to see how well she does it. Most children want to please their parents and don't want to be reprimanded. When you bring her for her check ups, what does her dentist say? How clean are her teeth? That may give you more insight as to how well she is doing. ...Read moreSee 2 more doctor answers
Why do babies go to a separate place when being born for shots?Nd is not because the mother can't handle it when a few weeks u watch your baby get shots
No good reason: Your pediatrician may prefer to examine and treat the baby elsewhere. But, you are the mother! if you don't want the baby to leave you to get shots, you have every right to tell them that you want your baby to stay with you. Having surgery, or having to go to the intensive care unit is really the only reason your baby would need to leave your side. ...Read more

Can anyone help me to get my seven year old to start flossing his teeth? I feel like he's certainly ready to begin flossing on his own, but he refuses to try. Is there anything that can be done to make learning how to floss on their own more enjoyable for
I : I had a couple of thoughts in addition to dr. Mcleod's recommendations. There is a book called "brush, floss and rinse" for preschool to grade 1. That might help to stimulate his interest. Play doh now has a "doctor drill n fill playset" that allows the child to play dentist. It looks very fun and might help soften his views on not helping with his own oral care. ...Read moreSee 1 more doctor answer

~12 months: ~ 12 months of life is a good time to change to whole milk (VIt D, red capped). If they look: Use after 12 weeks of either may be found in trace amounts in the meconium, even if stopped at 5 months. Cord blood would not usually pick it up that far out, but that is not where they look.Babies urine shows recent exposure but If they are looking for drugs, they go to the meconium for the most reliable data. If used legally, no problem, but in my state illegal use will send baby home with CPS ...Read moreSee 4 more doctor answers

Doctor, an infant weigh 8kg mistakenly given a wrong dose of Tylenol 1500mg or 15ml within 24hrs. Is that enough to cause liver failure in infant ?
Doctor, please how much of Tylenol overdose in mg or ml within 24hrs is considered overdose in infant weigh 8kg that can cause liver failure? Thank u.
Amount vs weight: A single dose of 150 mg/kg or here 150X8=1200 mg will produce liver damage. A blood acetomenophen level of over 150 mcg/ml at 4 hrs from ingestion or 5 @ 24 hrs suggests probable damage. The same dose spread out evenly over 24 hrs may not be toxic. Blood tests are done to determine level of toxicity at any point that overdose is suspected. ...Read more
Can the INFANRIX HEXA vaccine (which includes Hepatitis B) cause elevated liver enzymes AST and ALT? If yes, is this dangerous for an infant?
2 answers:: 1. Hexa contains only a single protein component of Hep B and cannot cause Hepatitis by itself; 2. AST/ALT elevation can be a sign of a significant problem in an infant, and needs a thorough workup. With problems such as biliary atresia or galactosemia, this needs to be done sooner rather than later. ...Read moreSee 1 more doctor answer

My recent labs- sgot 119/ sgpt 152. Lymphocytes 74. Wbc count went from 12 to 6 after having a baby 1yr ago. Do I have a problem with my liver?
Need more tests,,: Your SGOT and SGPT are elevated, but not real high, but your lymphocytes are high and shouldn't be more than half of your 100 cell white cell count and your total WBC count went down. You could be fighting a viral infection, which would explain your high lymphocyte count or you might have a blood disorder or autoimmune issue so see your doctor for more tests/blood smears to find out.
