Can anyone recommend the best place for laser acne scar removal in or near the bay area in california? I did research but found nothing promising.

Dermatologists: To my knowledge, nearly almost all dermatologists are going to have laser treatment of acne scars as one of their mainstays of treatment options. Have you called a dermatologists office near you? I looked on line just now and there were a lot of dermatologists in the bay area offering this service. Best, of luck. ...Read more

Where on my body can I receive a captique treatment? Does captique work on the lips and neck areas as well or is it primarily for the face? Could i also receive it to treat the frown lines above my eyebrows?

It's not available: Captique is a hyaluronic acid filler. It is no longer available in the us. Fortunately there are several excellent hyaluronic acid fillers that are available. These include juvederm, Restylane (dermal fillers) and belotero. If you would like to learn more about each of these fillers please check out our blog botox-docs.Com. ...Read more

I've used atralin on my face for years with great cosmetic results. Can you suggest a retinoid for the body to help with smooth minimal sun damage?

Differin: Atralin is an expensive brand of tretinoin, no better than a less expensive generic. Now you can get OTC Differin [adapalin] for $12. It is more effective and less irritating than tretinoin. You can get it in larger size for higher price. ...Read more

I saw on t.V..A recommendation to use preparation h around the eyes to avoid wrinkles and bags in the eye area dose that work?

FDA won't like that: If people on a talk show were chatting about what they have tried (on their own) for cosmetic reasons, that is up to them and the networks. However, if a prescription or otc product is being promoted for "off-label" use for something for which it is not approved/tested, that is a concern for all. Consumers should be cautious and ask doctors what is safe and effective before following such "advice". ...Read more

Does the laser used in laser liposuction make the procedure more effective? I would like to know exactly how is laser liposuction different from the regular liposuction that i've had performed in the past on the back of my legs. Does the new technology ha

No: It does not make it more effective. The only advantage is that it can be done with a bit of heat creating a possibility for skin tightening. However, there is a risk of burning the skin from inside. It is good for small areas. But it is a catchy name for patients. The device is as smart as the physician using it. ...Read more

Minor Differences: Personally, i think that there are minor differences between the technologies used for liposuction surgery. However, i think that the most important decision you make is who performs the liposuction surgery. In general i suggest patients seek consultation with board-certified plastic surgeons for these procedures. Ask to see lots of examples of their work and communicate with previous patients. ...Read more

Botox: Dermal fillers won't work for neck bands. Dermal fillers are injections performed by licensed medical professionals, they are not available in drugstores.
