If you're wanting to stop taking your birth control in order to become pregnant, should you finish pack or can you start the inactive pills

You can: Just stop taking the pills. You will likely have a "period" much like if you were taking inactive pills, so don't be concerned. Afterwards, start a menstrual diary and use ovulation kits to help you decipher if you are ovulating monthly, and when. This will help you time intercourse better. Good luck! ...Read more

Does your period automatically sync to birth control once you start taking it?

Does your period automatically sync to birth control once you start taking it?

Yes, but: Yes, but it may take a month or 2 or 3. It's not unusual in the first 1-3 months to have some bleeding between periods, even if you take the pill perfectly. If you miss pills, you're more likely to have irregular (or "breakthrough") bleeding. Write down the dates of your period, and ask your doctor if it doesn't correspond to the "placebo" or reminder pills. ...Read more

While taking junel fe 21 can you have your period while taking the active pills or will the cycle always start the week you don't take any pills?

Yes but.....: When you take birth control pills (BCPs) you typically have no bleeding while on the active pills but then have your menses 2-4 days into the placebo pills (not active pills). If you have bleeding while on the active pills it is more likely breakthrough bleeding (progesterone dominant effect). If you are just starting the BCPs it may take your body 2-3 months to adjust to the hormones. ...Read more

Can you ovulate after taking plan b if you are on birth control pills and take them religiously?

Can you ovulate after taking plan b if you are on birth control pills and take them religiously?

Very unlikely: It is very unlikely that you would get pregnant which is obviously what you are asking taking both Plan B and birth control pills correctly but, if you are taking your pills correctly, there is no reason to take Plan B. I skip sugar pills of birth control. If I decide to take them again to start getting my period again would I need backup form of birth control?

Maybe. Maybe not.: If one takes her 21 pills and then starts her new pack (skipping the 7 placebo pills), she can finish the 21 pills of her new pack and then continue into the new pack's 7 placebo pills... and that should be fine (contraception remains effective). However, if she doesn't take all 21 active pills of her new pack but instead hops over to the placebo pills... well, can't really tell what happens then. ...Read more
