Do you think I should go to the doctor for a human bite that didn't break skin?

Probably not: In general, if there is no break in the skin, there is no need for medical attention. Be aware, however, that if there is a break in the skin, you could end up with some pretty nasty infections. The mouth is teeming with bacteria. ...Read more

Benadryl (diphenhydramine): 50mg is the recommended dose but adults can take 400mg in 24 hours. Take 50mg 30 minutes before bedtime and if not effective by 30 minutes repeat the dose. How do you treat a spider bite. Have taken 8 benadryl (diphenhydramine) since this morning ?

Currently taking Claritin and Benadryl (diphenhydramine) for allergies. Would it be safe to instead take clairtin and chlorpheniramine? Should be temporary.

If necessary: All the medications mentioned are antihistamines. Claritin (loratadine) is a new generation one and Benadryl (diphenhydramine) and chlorpheniramine are first generation ones. While short term use likely has no serious side effects, there should be a treatment that doesn't require both. Also, the reason for the symptoms should be addressed in an effort to prevent symptoms. ...Read more

I sampled a little bit of alcohol a few hours ago, is it safe to take some benadryl (diphenhydramine)?

Probably OK: If you have had less than 2 drinks, it is probably ok to take a Benadryl (diphenhydramine) knowing that it may make you more drowsy.
