Concur: I concur w the other drs. That have answered this question that penicillin is the antibiotic of choice to control dental infection. Notice i said control, not cure. To cure the infection you must physically remove the infected tooth material (root canal or extraction). Don't place yourself in harms way ie don't have sex until completed 7d course of appropriate antibiotics AND partner has been treated (http://www.cdc.gov/std/chlamydia/stdfact-chlamydia.htm).
