Will A Sauna Help Me Lose Water Retention Weight
When discontinuing the use of suppository indomethacin after 4 yrs at 200mg/day, will I re-lose my weight and water retention?
Possibly: While I don't know why you were using indomethacin suppositories for 4 years, I would think moving away from that is a good idea. Great! Non-steroidal anti-inflammatories such a indomethacin do cause fluid retention and I think it is very possible you will lose a little weight from fluid losses. I would be surprised if it were more than 2-4 pounds, though. Good wishes:) ...Read more
If I m trying to loose weight I have water retention and also if I skip my any meal I feel water retention why this happen?
I have been on 60mg of provera (medroxyprogesterone) since may and I have gained 2 stone in weight. Could this be water retention?

If you have no edema and weigh yourself in the morning and find your weight to be increasing, that is the weight of water you are gaining. Likewise, if you lose a lb. Of weight in 24 hours, you are losing water, not fat, weight. I trust this helps. ...Read moreSee 1 more doctor answer

Dehydration. ..: The scenario suggests she might have significant dehydration with marginally poor renal function; after rehydration with IV, s creatinine will drop and fluid would be distributed into her vascular & interstitial space. So, that is okay as long as having no heart failure and unwanted edema. More? Ask treating doc for individual specific questions since s/he knows more about hers than anyone online. ...Read more
Really unlikely. Antibiotics work because they hit the germ and not us. Biaxin (clarithromycin) doesn't interact with the kidneys or with fluid.
Rare (really really rare) reactions like allergies might possibly cause unexpected effects like liver failure. but Biaxin (clarithromycin) doesn't commonly do this AND, there'd be a lot of other symptoms (brown urine, abdominal swelling and pain, being really sick, etc.). ...Read more

By itself no: A prolactinoma is the most common tumor of the pituitary gland. It secretes the hormone prolactin which by itself does not cause weight gain or water retention. However the tumor may be mixed which means that there are also cells that secrets corticotropin, another pituitary hormone that stimulates the adrenal glands to secrete steroids which can cause water retention and weight gain. ...Read moreSee 1 more doctor answer
