I step out of my garden tub and step down with my right foot and my big toe started burning like a bee sting then it bruised Little now sore?

You most likely: Spontaneously popped a small blood vessel in the toe. It happens! Keep the foot elevated if you can. It will get better in 3 to 5 days.

I had fallen and gotten a large bruise on my leg a week ago. Now there is a lump that is red, sore & feels hot.?

Posible Infection: A bruise is a hematoma resulting from bleeding into the soft tissues. It is a good medium in which bacteria can live and grow. It is possible, even without a break in your skin, that the hematoma has become infected. The redness and heat are sign of a localized infection. You should have it checked by your primary care physician.

Shin is still numb 12 days postop of ACL recon and meniscus trim, very bruised, sore, stiff is this normal? Foot also gets really hot.

Shin is still numb 12 days postop of ACL recon and meniscus trim, very bruised, sore, stiff is this normal? Foot also gets really hot.

Somewhat: Bruises, stiffness, soreness all very normal at this stage. Hot foot and numbness are not normal. However, depending on the incision location, the superficial skin nerves (saphenous most common) may have been cut which will lead to a permanent numb patch on the lateral side if the knee. No big deal. Hot foot and swelling could be a sign of a blood clot. Go see your surgeon and ask these question.

Never use hot!!: Use only warm water to thaw out cold fingers. Unless, grey, white or black, gentle reheating should work.

Lip sore: This could be a cold sore? Did it ever blister? Have you ever had cold sores before? If it is a cold sore, it will likely heal in about 2 weeks. It could also be a thermal/chemical burn from the chili pepper capsaicin. Either one should heal within a few weeks. Take it easy on eating anymore hot or spicy foods until it heals.

Premenstrual mastalg: I have found that women in their 40s begin to experience more tenderness in their breasts between ovulation and the period. I don't know your age but would guess that is the case since this is a new and concerning change for you. If it persists past the period see your provider. Do a self breast exam also at the onset of the period.

If had my primary oral herpes outbreak 3 weeks ago but my neck lymph node is still tender and yesterday I had a sore throat that went away by drinking something hot and the lymph node got swollen again is this normal?

If had my primary oral herpes outbreak 3 weeks ago but my neck lymph node is still tender and yesterday I had a sore throat that went away by drinking something hot and the lymph node got swollen again is this normal?

Maybe new problem: Throat pain can be from a strep throat infection (antibiotics are needed), a cold or influenza (antibiotics usually not used), or from some other cause such as allergies or irritants. Usually, a person sees the doctor if the sore throat is bothersome, recurrent, or doesn't go away quickly (mainly to check for strep throat). Throat lozenges and Tylenol (acetaminophen) or Motrin can help decrease throat pain.

My knee around my scar is red, very tender, painful to bend and hot to the touch, one dr said it was a bruise is this true.?

My knee around my scar is red, very tender, painful to bend and hot to the touch, one dr said it was a bruise is this true.?

Could be infected: Depends on how recent scar is and if there has been any history of trauma. But if the scar is from recent surgery I would definitely get someone to look at it to rule out infection.

Pain, red hot and tender skin with bruising and swelling of lower legs ankles and feet?

Pain, red hot and tender skin with bruising and swelling of lower legs ankles and feet?

Blood flow?: Lower leg swelling with redenning of skin does occur with poor venous return of blood flow to the body. Bruising can occur with this, but may also be related to skin changes for other reasons (thinning with age or as a medication side effect, for example) or to problems with blood coagulation.

I have a possible m.s. Diagnosis and when I touch my forehead it feels really sore like it's bruised but there's nothing there?

See doc: I think it is unlikely related to the MS but more likely to muscle tension, trauma, or less likely sinusitis. See doctor if this problem persists.

Why is my skin so sore to the touch like my whole body is bruised?

Why is my skin so sore to the touch like my whole body is bruised?

Needs evaluation: You may have systemic infection, collagen vascular disease or other condition which is causing inflammation as when you have the flu and feel achy and sore. Medications have to be considered such as statins which cam affect muscles. See primary care for blood work up if this persists. Also gather all info re meds, o/c medicines, a food diary for several days, work and home environment exposure.

Elbows always look bruised but aren't dry ar sore have not hurt them ao what might be causeing this?

Elbows always look bruised but aren't dry ar sore have not hurt them ao what might be causeing this?

Red elbows: Some people have redness of the skin on the elbows from leaning on them at a desk or table. There is no padding as the skin is thin and stretched over the bone. Try avoiding pressure on your elbows to see if that bruised appearance lessens.

My chest feels bruised to touch and sore but haven't done anything to cause this what could this be?

My chest feels bruised to touch and sore but haven't done anything to cause this what could this be?

Costochondritis?: I suspect you have Costochondritis: inflammation at juncture of cartilage & rib either at breastbone or approx 3-5 in. Lateral to breastbone on either side. Typically caused by viruses, & by trauma - blunt or from strenuous activity. No treatment necessary except for anti-inflammatory or other pain medicine; should clear spontaneously in 2-4 weeks. Hope that helps.

I have sore bruise that I could provide picture?

I have sore bruise that I could provide picture?

Picture not helpful: You will need to have a doctor examine you and find the cause and then give you proper advice. Unless you hurt yourself, we need to find the cause and that may take a physical exam and possibly testing your blood to find the cause unless it is obvious to you or to your doctor.
