Will 5 Hour Energy Drinks Prevent Me From Getting Restful Sleep
Does 5 hour energy and other similar energy drinks cause bad sleep patters and panic attacks? I drink coffee and coffee never gives me those symptoms
Energy drinks: Yes, it is quite possible. Many of these "energy drinks" contain much higher levels of caffeine than in a cup or two of coffee. Additional ingredients may also trigger reactions in sensitive individuals. Avoid these drinks, and consider getting some exercise (like brisk walking) if you need a brief pickup in the afternoon. Any caffeine after 6 PM can trigger sleep problems. Good luck! ...Read more

Sleep: Think about addressing the main problem you identified...Sleep. Avoid substances that impact sleep, like alcohol, caffeine (energy drinks). To address insomnia look up healthy sleep habits. How come i always feel like i'm sweating to death when i go to sleep after drinking jagermesiter mixed with monster energy drink? Is it dangerous?
Only if ingested: The monster has a considerable amount of stimulant like components like caffeine and i believe taurine. The jag has a noradrenergic component i suspect that also encourages agitation and sympathetic hyperarousal. They both then together cause a fight or flight reaction chemically - with elevated heart rate, sweating, insomnia, racing thoughts, and - combined with alcohol - disinhibition(be stupid). ...Read moreSee 2 more doctor answers

Can on get heart problems due to taking to many diet pills and not sleeping well and mixing with energy drinks sometimes?
Not good: I have to admit I have used them occasionally, but I don't recommend them. Some are better than others, but they all have a lot of things in them that aren't very good for you and there is no quality control to guarantee they have exactly what it says on the label. Many of them have extremely high levels of caffeine. ...Read more

I'm 23 and I'm going to be working my first night shift, any suggestions on sleep and food and drinks to keep me awake but not energy drinks or coffee?
Will depend on your : sleep/ear cycle since that will determine your energy level needed for your night shift. Get a good 7-8 night sleep during the day using black blinds/eye shields. Then decide whether you need to eat a meal in the middle of your shift versus snacking. Organic protein bar is great to give you stamina. Organic raw nuts, fruit is good. Also, a green smoothie with raw cacao and raw grapseeed flour. ...Read more
Don't know: But I am not a fan of people using excessive amounts of caffeine as a stimulant (the vitamins etc in some of them is total bs). Usually stimulant drugs reduce erections, so i don't understand your reaction, but there are always individual differences in what kinds of side effects. When you are on energy drinks are you thinking more about sex, or sexual things? I would stop the energy drinks. ...Read more
I drink an energy drink that contains 60% rda of maganese. I drink 2 a day. So i get 120% rda. Am i overdosing?
Probably not: 1 energy drink a day will probably not do any serious damage to you. However, it is not supporting your health. It is not unusual to have a sensitivity to artificial sweeteners (they give me a headache, for instance). Also, energy drinks contain untested combinations of caffeine and herbal supplements. They can be quite dangerous in large quantities. Which means they are not healthy overall. ...Read moreSee 1 more doctor answer
