Better asthma contro: Exercise is a very common trigger of asthma and sometimes despite taking albuterol before a work out, this is not enough to prevent symptoms. Checking peak flows before and after a work out may assist in determining if this is asthma or another condition. The pain/discomfort will likely persist unless the underlying cause is treated. ...Read moreSee 1 more doctor answer
Deoxygenated blood enters the lungs from the right side of the heart and travels to the lungs. When you inspire, oxygen flows into the lungs, transverses the capilliares and attaches to hemoglobin down a gradient. At the same time, co2 diffuses into the capilaries and is expelled with exhalation. Oxygen rich blood then flows to the left side of the heart and into the ...Read more
Maybe a "stitch": It may not be related to asthma. To prevent this from happening, avoid eating just prior to running, breath deeply through your mouth, avoid carbonated drinks, avoid cold weather running, start out at a slower pace, and use good posture while running. Good luck and run on! ...Read more

Docs can only Guess: Pain in a muscle probably relates to use & fact that all muscles, during contraction, block their own blood flow. With more contraction than relaxation, muscle may become sore. Coughing blood?: If you are coughing up blood, called hemoptysis, you need to be evaluated by your doctor. The most common cause is bronchitis but malignancy needs to be ruled out. If you smoke, you need to quit asap. ...Read moreSee 1 more doctor answer
After I smoke a tobacco bowl my lungs feel really tight and last for about 30 minutes, I have asthma but it's not bad at all, only when I run.
It can get worse: Being so young, perhaps you believe you can afford to lose 30 min of quality life up to several times a day. That might change and grow into longer periods. It's sad to watch someone burn money even if they feel they can afford it. Some may say it's your business, but no one will think it's smart. They're right not to. Please consider quitting. ...Read moreSee 1 more doctor answer

See your doctor!: Any exertional chest pain should be treated seriously until proven otherwise. You should consider a stress treadmill test to evaluate your heart under load.
