Back pain from cough: Your lungs fill your chest cavity .When you cough, you take a deep breath in, then the vocal cords close. This causes a rapid increase in pressure within the chest cavity by contracting the muscles between the ribs and the diaphragm muscles. Then the vocal cords open to let the air out rapidly. The high pressure in the chest as well as the contraction of the muscles cause the back pain. ...Read more

Better asthma contro: Exercise is a very common trigger of asthma and sometimes despite taking albuterol before a work out, this is not enough to prevent symptoms. The pain/discomfort will likely persist unless the underlying cause is treated. ...Read moreSee 1 more doctor answer

Coughing blood?: If you are coughing up blood, called hemoptysis, you need to be evaluated by your doctor. The most common cause is bronchitis but malignancy needs to be ruled out. If you smoke, you need to quit asap. ...Read moreSee 1 more doctor answer

It can get worse: Being so young, perhaps you believe you can afford to lose 30 min of quality life up to several times a day. That might change and grow into longer periods.
