I hear this ringing sound for like two seconds almost every month in my lifted ear only could it be my unborn child's heartbeat I'm hearing I need phe?

Tinnitus: 2 seconds every month seems like a rare event to me. It's unlikely that ringing sound is fetal heartbeat. If worried, time rate of ringing sound. Fetal heart rate is 120-160 beats per minute or 2-3 beats per second. Check out http://www.mayoclinic.org/diseases-conditions/tinnitus/basics/definition/con-20021487 for more info. ...Read more

I keep hearing my heartbeat in my ear what causes that?

I keep hearing my heartbeat in my ear what causes that?

High blood pressure: Normally one doesn't hear their own heartbeat. However sound travels in the direction of (blood) flow & the only way it gets amplified is if there is more. That happens frequently (but not most of the time) with high blood pressure, or hypertension (also known as the silent killer, but perhaps u r lucky it's not silent in your case). See a doctor, get your blood pressure checked during an episode. ...Read more

Lately, i've been hearing my heartbeat in my right ear. When this happens, i can sort of feel it in my ear as if the blood vessel is pumping and pushing against something.. Help.

Audible heartbeat: I have heard patients complain about an audible heartbeat most commonly when they are anemic. It can also commonly occur with high blood pressure. Under rare circumstances it can be due to a vascular tumor near the ear drum. Please see a doctor and ask them to check your blood pressure, complete blood count, and auditory canal. If these are normal, further investigation will be needed. ...Read more

Could be nothing: But could be a symptom of carotid artery stenosis. Not to panic. Tell your doctor about it and let them listen to your neck for a bruit. They might order ultrasound of your neck to look at the carotid arteries as well, a non-invasive, not scary test. ...Read more

I hear my heartbeat in my ear every time i look down what can cause this?

I hear my heartbeat in my ear every time i look down what can cause this?

Not sure: I am not sure why looking down makes you aware of pulsation in your ear. But i can tell you what you are experiencing. The carotid artery, the large artery in the neck that supplies blood to the brain is very close to the cochlea, the hearing portion of the inner ear. The inner ear senses these pulsations. I am surprised that more people are not aware of this. Called pulsatile tinnitus. ...Read more

Was sitting down with headphones then my ear started to hear a heartbeat sound and it went to super fast and then it stopped and kept on when I yawned?

Ear: Great question. Couple of things could cause that. Sometimes the headphones alter how your eustachian tube equalizes air pressure and you are hearing the tube opening and closing; sometimes with the headphones on, you are hearing your heartbeat and there is a little tendon attached to one of your ear bones that contracts in response to loud sounds. See an ENT to check it out ...Read more

Past few days my ear hurts very bad & my hearing is muffled in the ear I've tryd 2 clean it but nothin comes out I use sweet oil but it wont go down??

Maybe External Otiti: If your ear hurts when you manipulate your ear, it is probably external otitis--i.e., infection of the external ear canal, usually caused by a scratch while cleaning. If so, you may be able to treat it at home by instilling a 50:50 solution of alcohol and vinegar. The acetic acid in the vinegar kills the bacteria and the alcohol will keep the ear dry. ...Read more

After running, I have trouble hearing my heartbeat in my ears afterwards, why?

Pulsatile tinnitis: What you are probabaly experiencing is an increase in blood flow of the vessels around the ear that can occur during exercise or anemia. It can also occur when the vessels narrow or harden near the ear and the surrounding blood flow is turbulent. At your age, and because it occured afer exercise, the cause is likely benign. However, there are serious causes associated with this so see your doctor! ...Read more

If you've only recently started on these medications, it is possible that you are experiencing some tinnitus as a side effect, most likely to the venlafaxine.
