Why Ovarian Cyst Hurt When I Eat
Not likely: The pain from ovarian cysts is not usually affected by eating. The ovaries are a long ways away from the stomach anatomically.
A cyst is a structure or mass that consists of a cellular lined sac. It is typically filled with fluid but may be filled with solid material. It can be congenital, traumatic, or acquired. They may develop nearly anywhere in the body and usually require complete excision for eradication or they are likely to recur. Fluid filled sacs that are not cellular lined ...Read more
I have an ovarian cyst & I eat It hurts and they say your not supposed to have pain with this but I have pain bad what could be causin the pain?
Pelvic pain: Pelvic pain is complex as there are several organs in the pelvis. The ovaries, fallopian tubes, uterus, cervix, bladder, appendix, intestines, colon and rectum can all be the source. Pelvic pain requires and examination to help organize the evaluation. Pelvic pain due to eating may not be from a gynecologic cause
Depends: If an ovarian cyst gets large enough or puts enough pressure on structures then pt may present with lower abdominal pain on the side of the cyst. If the cyst is large enough to cause torsion (twisting of the blood vessels feeding the ovary) that may lead to more severe pain and vomiting. Torsion is a surgical emergency because it may lead to the death of the ovary.
I have an ovarian cyst that hurts me excruciatingly about once a week, is that normal? And what do I do about it?
Ovarian cyst: The cyst should be followed. If it does not go away or gets larger, it could be removed depending on its size.
Is it true the healthier I eat the faster the recovery after an ovarian cyst is removed? What are other ways for a fast recovery?
U/S says 5.6cm ovarian cyst resolved, but it still hurts all the time. What could be going on? I'm still having all the same symptoms.
Having an ovarian cyst with a thick septa. Two parts 4.5cm and 1.5cm. It hurts. Can't find much info about this type of cyst online. Ok to leave it?
See a GYN: It's right around the size when I would recommend taking it out. If you have pain, definitely have it removed. Thick separations are also a sign that it may need to come out. I recommend you talk to a gynecologist.
It varies: But sometimes a number of weeks. Make sure you are under the care of a physician.
Is a ovarian cyst suppose to hurt really bad? And is the cyst what's cause this almost clear whiteish discharge?
Yes&No: Yes, Ovarian Cysts can hurt really bad. The clear white discharge is unlikely from the ovarian cyst. Likely either vaginal juices or infection. Clear white discharge could be yeast-but that is usually thicker and curd like-Cheese like. Bacterial infections also-but they usually smell pretty foul. Other consideration isPelvic Inflammatory Disease. Should see a Gyn Doctor.See 1 more doctor answer
How long does it take for ovarian cysts to go away? I have had it for 3 months now and it still hurts bad. Will I need surgery?
Depends on the size: It depends on the size of the cysts and how severe are the symptoms you can take anti inflammatory medicines like Motrin for pain and discuss with your doctor how big the cysts are and what treatment will be best for you. Sometimes hormonal treatment with birth control pills can reduce the size and orevent cysts from forming. Not all cysts need surgery.
I have had an ovarian cyst that is 4cm for the last two years that hasn't gone away and am wondering if this could hurt my fertility?
I think I have an ovarian cyst on left side. It hurts when I lay and get up. But I don't have any other symptoms. It's this constant pain.
What causes ovarian cyst? I eat very healthy and I am also an athlete so I exercise every day pretty much. I want to prevent having one in the future.
A fluid collection: Most women of child bearing years have collections of fluid in the ovaries surrounded by a thin wall of tissue. This is an ovarian cyst and is common during each menstrual cycle. In most cases these are benign. Diet and exercise do not play a role as far as we know in reducing the risk of having a cyst. Speak with your gynecologist or primary care physician if you have further questions.
