Could ovarian cyst make my stomach hurt when I eat?

Could ovarian cyst make my stomach hurt when I eat?

Not likely: The pain from ovarian cysts is not usually affected by eating. The ovaries are a long ways away from the stomach anatomically.

Pelvic pain: Pelvic pain is complex as there are several organs in the pelvis. The ovaries, fallopian tubes, uterus, cervix, bladder, appendix, intestines, colon and rectum can all be the source. Pelvic pain requires and examination to help organize the evaluation. Pelvic pain due to eating may not be from a gynecologic cause

Do ovarian cysts hurt more when laying down?

Maybe: The ovary can move around inside you based your position. Different positions, such as laying down, turning side-to-side can place different stresses on the cyst causing it to hurt more or less.

What's supposed to hurt if I have an ovarian cyst?

What's supposed to hurt if I have an ovarian cyst?

Depends: If an ovarian cyst gets large enough or puts enough pressure on structures then pt may present with lower abdominal pain on the side of the cyst. If the cyst is large enough to cause torsion (twisting of the blood vessels feeding the ovary) that may lead to more severe pain and vomiting. Torsion is a surgical emergency because it may lead to the death of the ovary.

What foods are safe to eat if you have an ovarian cyst?

Avoid lots of soy: Sometimes functional cysts - which are cysts that resolve on their own - can take longer to resolve if a woman is taking estrogen. Soy is a plant estrogen, and it can cause irregular periods if a woman is taking a large amount daily. It may make a cyst take longer to resolve.

Ovarian cyst: The cyst should be followed. If it does not go away or gets larger, it could be removed depending on its size.

Is it true the healthier I eat the faster the recovery after an ovarian cyst is removed? What are other ways for a fast recovery?

Eat low carb: The most important thing to do is address why a cyst developed. Try some things on your own but it's also useful to work with a doctor that can do testing. You should first consider that you may be developing Insulin resistance and fix that with a low carbohydrate diet.

U/S says 5.6cm ovarian cyst resolved, but it still hurts all the time. What could be going on? I'm still having all the same symptoms.

Cystic fluid: If the ovarian cyst resolved by rupturing with fluid accumulation on the lining of the internal body cavity (peritoneum), then that's why you are still symptomatic. Eventually this will resolve if that is the case.

See a GYN: It's right around the size when I would recommend taking it out. If you have pain, definitely have it removed. Thick separations are also a sign that it may need to come out. I recommend you talk to a gynecologist.

Why do ruptured ovarian cysts hurt so much?

Why do ruptured ovarian cysts hurt so much?

Fluid irritating: The fluid or blood that comes out of a ruptured cyst irritates the internal skin lining of your body, called the "peritoneum". Your body absorbs it, and then the pain goes away.

Is a ovarian cyst suppose to hurt really bad? And is the cyst what's cause this almost clear whiteish discharge?

Is a ovarian cyst suppose to hurt really bad? And is the cyst what's cause this almost clear whiteish discharge?

Yes&No: Yes, Ovarian Cysts can hurt really bad. The clear white discharge is unlikely from the ovarian cyst. Likely either vaginal juices or infection. Clear white discharge could be yeast-but that is usually thicker and curd like-Cheese like. Bacterial infections also-but they usually smell pretty foul. Other consideration isPelvic Inflammatory Disease. Should see a Gyn Doctor.

How long does it take for ovarian cysts to go away? I have had it for 3 months now and it still hurts bad. Will I need surgery?

Depends on the size: It depends on the size of the cysts and how severe are the symptoms you can take anti inflammatory medicines like Motrin for pain and discuss with your doctor how big the cysts are and what treatment will be best for you. Sometimes hormonal treatment with birth control pills can reduce the size and orevent cysts from forming. Not all cysts need surgery.

I have had an ovarian cyst that is 4cm for the last two years that hasn't gone away and am wondering if this could hurt my fertility?

Cysts & Fertility: Ovarian cysts of 4 cms rarely affect ovulation and subsequent fertility. If your periods are irregular then only then would consideration be given to ovarian cyst removal or evaluation with Laparosopy. Many cysts can be "suppressed" with the oral contraceptives of that size.

I think I have an ovarian cyst on left side. It hurts when I lay and get up. But I don't have any other symptoms. It's this constant pain.

Please see your gyn: Asap, as a pelvic ultrasound needs to be done to see if u do have a cyst, a fibroid, or other conditions, and your gyn should be able to determine if your pain is from a gyn cause or other causes, u may need referral after that.

A fluid collection: Most women of child bearing years have collections of fluid in the ovaries surrounded by a thin wall of tissue. This is an ovarian cyst and is common during each menstrual cycle. In most cases these are benign. Diet and exercise do not play a role as far as we know in reducing the risk of having a cyst. Speak with your gynecologist or primary care physician if you have further questions.
