My newborn(13 days old) is always hungry, would it be ok to start bottle feeding and keep breastfeed?
Be patient : Newborns are wired to suckle 24/7 as a reflex. Try not to confuse the reflex with hunger. If baby has just eaten, the stomach is not sending that message, but baby may accept a feed for comfort if offered. Breast fed stomachs can empty every 2 hours, formula taked longer. Depends on the child: Some kids need more nurturing than others and will seek out the cuddle time at the breast well into the 2nd yr. If your infant needs cuddle time, do as long as desired.
