Why My Left Ovary Hurt After Ovulation
Why does my left ovary hurt a day after ovulation? I had unprotected sex 6 days before ovulation, a day before and the day of. I'm also bloated and more tired than usual. I'm discharging a milky white too.
Pregnancy test: I'm not exactly sure the question your asking. But you had unprotected sex during the most fertile time of your cycle and are now having symptoms of pregnancy. In your case a pregnancy test is order first. I'm pretty sure you realize that, but needed to hear it. In your case I'm not sure if you are actually asking about the pain many women have at ovulation, but can be answered after preg test ...Read more

I'm not due to ovulate tell aug 24th but im haveing pain in my left ovary could I be ovulating early? And I have a 31 day cycle
No, get to a doctor!: The first question an emergency physician would ask him/herself is "does jackie22 have an ectopic (tubal) pregnancy? " and the first test they would perform is a pregnancy test. Ectopic refers to a pregnancy that is outside of the uterus and is a true emergency. If you are not pregnant then we can sift through the other possibilities for your pain: infection, ovarian cyst, normal pregnancy, etc. ...Read more
Hi Dr., Following are my ovulation study results: Day 12 & 14 : 12 mm follicle in Left ovary Day 16 : 14 mm follicle in Left ovary Day 18: 12 mm follicle in Left ovary Can this be possible? Why would the follicle size decrease?
Today I had 1 cm follicle in left ovary, when will it become dominant and when will I ovulate if I have 35 day cycle?
Can't predict: The 1 cm follicle you see now may not necessarily become the dominant follicle. There's probably a higher than average chance for it to; but it's not a given. The timing is usually a retrospective marker (e.g. tracked backwards) in the absence of biochemical confirmation. So, predictably, ovulation occurs about 14 days before onset of menses. So, in your case, that would be about Day #21. ...Read more

Day 12 ultrasound, appeared to have collapsed fol. On left ovary but 2 on right appeared mature. Is it possible I didn't ovulate already?
Every month I feel twinges of what seems to be ovulation of my left ovary. I only have a right tube though. Could my right actually be ovulating?
In my follicular report its 2 dominant follicles in left ovary. One got released on day 14 and other on 18th. Which day will b considered as ovulation?
Atypical: It is not clear exactly what is going on or how the doctor concluded what occurred on day 14 and day 18. It is clear that you are currently receiving care though from a doctor. I would schedule follow up with that doctor doing these tests and ask for clarification on the current treatment and plan. ...Read more
I'm having a strange pain in my left ovary and not sure why. Already ovulated, period comes in a week, and I'm TTC. Any ideas on what it could be?
Judge by pain nature: Due to the fact that intra-abdominal pain is not precisely localized, it's hard to advise in your case. Your symptoms could be caused by ovarian cyst (i.e., corpus luteum cyst), chronic adnexal condition if any, urinary stones, intestinal problem to name a few. If the pain is mild and self-limited, most likely it's not serious. If it's prominent and persistent, then Gyn evaluation is required. ...Read more
Could be either: Hard to say without doing a pelvic exam and taking a more detailed history, including why you had your right ovary removed. I would suggest seeing your doctor for evaluation if the pain continues. Pelvic ultrasound may be a good idea to see if there is an obvious answer to your pain. Also need to consider whether you are around the time of ovulation (around day 14 of your cycle). Good luck! ...Read more
Hi, on the 10th oct I had an ultrasound and was told I had only one follicle measuring 10.2mm in my left ovary. When should I expect to ovulate?
Hmmmm....: I would go with what your doc told you. That 1cm left ovarian follicle can double in size before it ejects an ovum into the fimbria. Best estimate is 10-14 days after the first day of your last period. Hope that is helpful. Check this out. It might come in handy: http://www. Babymed. Com/pregnancy-wheel ...Read more
I m 3o years, dominant follicle is noted in right ovary measuring 14* 10 mm and in left ovary 7.9* 7.8mm, is it normal? When do I ovulate?
I am diagnosed with a 4cm Haemorrhagic cyst on right ovary and a 2 CM functional cyst on left ovary. I am trying to conceive, can I ovulate?
Most probably yes: Normal Ovulation depends on a well functioning hypothalamus-pituitary-ovarian system and not on the presence of "a 4 cm hemorrhagic cyst" (which may be a corpus luteum evidence of recent ovulation) nor of a 2 cm "functional cyst" (which my be preovulatory). Consult a Reproductive Endocrinologist/infertility doctor for ovulation tests and ways to conceive. ...Read more

Always felt pain on my right ovary but this month I had pain on my left ovary. I had unprotected sex 2days before my ovulation day could I be pregnant?
That's fertile time: One can do a urine pregnancy test, which gives a reliable result 3 weeks after sex (3 weeks after when conception might have occurred), or 1 week after missing a period. If done sooner, a positive result is likely real, but a negative result may be due to testing too soon, and thus lead to a repeat test. If a woman gets her normal regular period, then she is not pregnant, and a test is not needed. ...Read more

I have a 3.3cm simple cyst on left ovary so missed my period can I ovulate again from other side without inducing my period?
Trans vaginal ultra sound showed left ovary was ready to ovulate..... What does that mean and how is it shown on ultrasound.?
Follicle: Each month you produce egg cysts called follicles. Your ultrasound like showed a left sided dominant follicle of the right size or showed evidence of recent ovulation (fluid around the left ovary with collapsing cyst wall). When I had more fertility patients, I often got reports from ultrasounds saying the same thing. ...Read more

Had a complex ovarian cyst rmvd from my left ovary yr ago & just found out I've a simple cyst on the same ovary. Will it prevent me from ovulating?
A simple cyst is usually benign and will go away on its own. In fact when you ovulate, the egg is released from a cyst and then the cyst resolves.
Cysts do not usually interfere with ovulation. Depending on the size and symptoms of this cyst, your doctor may want to repeat your ultrasound in 6 weeks to insure it has resolved or is not getting bigger or complex appearing. ...Read more
