I have 2 inch lump above 4 month old csection incident (scar), hurt when touch, not pain. Is it normal? I also on HCG diet, not affect it with lump?
Healing: It is not unusual to have tenderness or other variable sensations about a c-section scar in the first 6 months. It is not unusual to have lumps immediately around the scar. Varies with technique of closure. However, you could have a hernia. Since it does not hurt unless touched, I recommend using compression underwear like spanks and avoid too much manipulation. If worried or it worsens, see MD. Read more
Benign fibroadenoma lump 3X2cm found on my left breast. Am 22yrs old. Is it necessary to excise it because I don't want to do a surgery & have a scar?
Breast lump: That is a fairly significant sized lesion. I am assuming a needle biopsy was performed to establish the diagnosis. While it most likely is benign - and never degenerate my recommendation would be to have it removed. Depending on where it is - an excision around the areola may hide the scar. Good luck Read more

Monitoring Centers: Lymphatic system absorbs/carries things too big to go into the arteries/veins like bacteria eaten by white cells/digested food. Lymph nodes "taste" the lymph everywhere for bad stuff like bacteria/viruses/cancers, etc. When it detects a problem, it alerts the immune system and your body reacts. They enlarge in response to the inflammation they create when they react. They shrink when all is well. Read moreSee 1 more doctor answer

I have recently developed lumps in 5 different areas on my body that I have scars or scar tissue. All came in the last month. What is going on?
Lumps: Lumps on old scars are unusual but new scars can be lumpy due to keloid formation which is an abnormal thickening of scar tissue that some people tend to produce. Multiple lumps apart from scar tissue are often lipomas which are benign fatty tissue deposits. Your physician can evaluate and advise you. Read more
Can't say: It can be normal and it can be abnormal at the same time. It depends on how big that is, how hard, how long after the surgery and so on. You'd better to have a follow up with it surgeon. Tiny lumps under the scar are expected after surgery up to few months. But it is abnormal if that lumps are painful or have some discharge or bleeding. Read moreSee 1 more doctor answer

I get a little lump on the edge of my circumcision scar. I can pop them an a little black thing comes out. I get about one a year. What is this?
Comedones: What you describe are likely common skin lesions known as comedones. While tempting, "popping" them can lead to infection under the skin in the area of the hair follicle where the sebaceous glands (where the cheese-like sebum is produced) are located. When exposed to air the tip of the sebum core turns black. Hence, the nickname "blackheads". Read more
I have had mult. Back surgerys, noticed a couple lumps @ top of scar, assumed just scar tiss, but if pushed on causes pain, poss? Havin back pain, again
Maybe: With a history of multiple back surgeries it is not unusual to have a probable recurrence of pain as the success rate diminishes with that type of history. The pain is most likely muscular with pressing on the area as this is a common presentation & the lumps you note may have been from prior surgeries or are "muscle knots" now present due to new back pain episode. Could be a stitch abcess too. Read moreSee 1 more doctor answer
I had keyhole appendectomy 3 weeks ago, the bellybutton scar is a bit puckered & there's a hard lump under the scar at right end. Will this lump go away?
Most likely...: After a surgical procedure there is always healing tissue forming and it may be swollen and hard at one point. It usually resolves after a few weeks. However in some cases hard tissue may remain and stays there permanently. If the surgery is very recent it is hard to tell how it will finally heal. If very concerning make sure you f/u with your surgeon. Read more
