When I shave the area under my chin and neck have always gotten red. How can I make it stop and go away?
Shaving irritation: Depends. If you are using a regular shaving blade, perhaps try a sensitive skin one. Or try using electric shaver most of the time and when using regular shaving blade, do not shave against the grain to try to get a cleaner shave, as this can cause irritation. Also you may consider a beard to give your skin a rest from shaving. ...Read more
I have an itchy red swollen area under the chin, on the jawline and on my neck. The doctor gave prednisone. Won't this make it hard for me to heal? If this is yeast, couldprednisone be dangerous?
No: Few days of Prednisone would not affect the healing, but help with the itching and help with healing. The rash you describe is not yeast, therefore it would not be dangerous at all. If it is yeast, your rash would still be there, it may spread but would not be dangerous since it it just a few days. ...Read more
The face and neck are very expressive areas in most primates, including humans. Changes in color can be reactive to the environment (e.g., chapped cheeks in winter) but also the internal emotional environment (blushing), In addition, hormonal changes (hot flushes) during menopause and the effects of alcohol or other neuroactive agents (capsaicin/chili pepper) can cause this.
Not always danger. ...Read more

I would advise to see a doctor to clear the lump as needed.
