Slleeping pills: Some sleeping pills in strong enough doses can do this. However if no reurrence in 10 yrs, i would put any concerns on the back burner. Do not take same pills again. 4t0 6 % of children/adolescents can have abnormal eegs. There is a certain eeg pattern which could indicate future risk. More likely eeg non epileptic. ...Read more

Not epilepsy: What you describe is a sleep event of no consequence. The eeg was of no clinical value. Really no justification for chronic treatment. Certainly no reason for Dilantin now. ...Read more

Most likely: Probably no harm no foul but if you develop a discharge redness and infection you could have introduced mouth bacteria into your conjunctiva causing conjunctivitis. I would advise you to use artificial tears over the counter from your lical pharmacy one drop three times a day for a week. If no better see an eye care professional. ...Read more

Do you also sleep: walk? How do you know you do these things? If these increase in frequency, you may want to see your PCP, and discuss having a referral to a neurologist for further workup and possible sleep study to rule out fugue or other states of consciousness you're in. Am sure they will be able to tell you what your diagnosis is. You don't want to find out you drove or walked somewhere in this state of mind. ...Read more
