I brushed my two year olds tongue and it started bleeding?

I brushed my two year olds tongue and it started bleeding?

Tongues bleed but...: Tongues heal quickly and heal well. That's because tongues have good blood flow. Probably best to skip the tongue-brushing with little kids. No worries.

What causes bleeding tongue each and everytime I brush. There's a sore on my tongue now. Please help!

Get checked soon: You should not have a bleeding sore on your tongue. While it could be as simple as you having bit the tongue or a canker sore, there are some more serious conditions that would be better treated sooner than later. In the past we used to worry about tongue cancer in older male drinkers/smokers, there is a hpv-related type that also affects otherwise young healthy people. Good luck.

I'm bleeding from under my tongue is been bleeding for awhile is just a little and I notice it more when I brush my teeth. What could it be?

Bleeding: Bleeding is not normal and a sign of some problem. Most likely it's from periodontal (gum) disease although it could be a host of other things. You will need to see a dentist who can determine exactly what it is and what treatment is necessary.

I think my bf has thrush he has a thick white coating on tongue and when he tries to brush it off he has patches of red and a little bleeding?

I think my bf has thrush he has a thick white coating on tongue and when he tries to brush it off he has patches of red and a little bleeding?

Probably not: It would be unusual for a healthy young male to have lingual thrush. I suspect that the white coating is not a yeast infection and is not pathological. White patches are often seen on the throat surface with oral yeast infections. Have him examined by an otolaryngologist if concerns continue.

Go see: Any visualized change in your mouth should be evaluated. Please see your Dentist or an Oral Surgeon for evaluation. Wouldn't it be wonderful to be told there's nothing to worry about? And on the slight chance that there is a problem it, s better to have it resolved as quickly as possible.

Low T?: No T booster needed specifically for that, but you should get a tetanus booster about every ten years. Check your shot records.

If: If you think you have gum disease the best thing you can do is see a dentist for an exam and cleaning. If you have not had your teeth cleaned in a while there is nothing over the counter or magic rinse that will solve the problem. You lack of dental insurance makes it even more important to see a dentist. The last thing you need is thousands of dollars of treatment because you let a small problem fester and become a large one. Most people spend some of their discretionary dollars on things they value (cigarettes, iphone, ipad etc, drinks with friends, concert tickets, cable tv etc.) don't let your lack of insurance lead you to neglecting your teeth. If you value them spend some money on them and protect them. Prevention is a great investment. The video in the link below shoes how gum disease progresses. long island periodontist best of luck.

Pill or liquid: Pills, liquids, ointments, will not cure your problems. You have infected gums and damaged teeth. Please see a dentist to help you get back into a state of optimum health and to help you maintain the result. You can't do this alone...See a dentist.

My gums are receding, in one part of my mouth but I don't feel pain when I brush. My gums don't bleed much, when I floss, or anything. What do I do?

My gums are receding, in one part of my mouth but I don't feel pain when I brush. My gums don't bleed much, when I floss, or anything. What do I do?

2 things: 1) find out why it is only on one part of your mouth. My guess is it is your bite. Did you have braces? 2) if you had braces and the bite is fine then you can. A) do nothing. B) gum graft. C) place a tooth colored filling. If your bite is off, you can do the above, but the bite may need to be corrected to prevent relapse. Best to consult with a qualified dentist in your area who can advise you.

The gums on the bottom left side of my mouth hurt and bleed when I brush my teeth. Could it be some oral disease?

Gingivitis: Sounds like a case of gingivits. If it has been a long time since your last cleaning, tartar can build up and irritate the gums making them painful and bleed easily. Time to give the dentist a call.

Doctor, my mouth always bleed when I brush my teeth, this situation have a long time, and appear cyst sometimes. What's problems in my mouth?

Gum disease: Any bleeding is the sign of infection or inflammation. It usually doesn't hurt, so many people disregard it. The incidence of a cyst would confirm the presence of infection. You can try and brush and floss perfectly, but there is some underlying disease that will have to be treated by a dentist or hygienist.
