At his annual check-up, or at his next blood test, he can ask his doctor to order a thyroid hormone test to be sure it is not low (low thyroid lowers body metabolism/temp.). Today my body temperature is usually from 96.8 -97.0, once it was 95.7, a few times it was 97.2 and twice it was 97.5. Is it abnormal? Is it low temp?
Normal temperature: Temperatures in this range usually are not abnormal. If consistently under 96 it could be a sign of underactive thyroid gland. Probably all is OK but to be maximally safe, discuss this with your doctor, especially if you also have low energy, weight gain, or hair loss. Last couple of years my body temperature barely gets out of the range of 35.5 - 36.4 c (96 - 97.5 f). Considering i'm a 25 yo male, is this unusual?

Not a fever...: A fever is a temperature over 100.4, although at 1 month of age I would let your pediatrician know if the temp is over 100 so that they can get more history and determine if the baby needs to be seen.
