I: I would call your doctor. The green stools may not be such a big deal because that can occur when feces transits too quickly through the colon. It prevents bile from be adequately metabolised and thus the feces do not from green to their characteristic brown colored. This is usually wet or liquid. However, the yellow stools could be from an absence of bile salts (liver, gallbladder or common bile duct). I would let you doctor know, as it is likely that he or she might want to see you sooner. ...Read more
Bile: Bile is green. It enters the bowel right after food exits the stomach. As the bile travels through the bowel, it turns yellow, then brown. If stool is moving fast through the bowel, it doesn't have time to turn brown, so it may come out yellow or even green. Stool travels faster when the bowel is irritated, such as when there is a virus. ...Read more

I just recent saw bright green stool after using the bathroom. This is new for me. In addition I have also had vaginal + rectal itching..
See answer: Green stool indicates that your food is moving through your intestines more quickly than usual and not giving your bile a chance to turn the normal brown color. By itself, this is not a sign of a specific illness. Your itching is unrelated to the green stool. Since your also having vaginal itching Candidiasis may be the cause. Green stools, abdomanal pain along with gas, not nauseus and still have aappitite, hard for me to use the bathroom sometimes. What could be the problem?
Thoughts..: Depending on how long it's been going on for, it can be infectious (like a viral gastroenteritis), inflammatory (like crohn's or ulcerative colitis), constipation (which will give you abdominal pain, but usually not green stools), or it can be related to changes in your diet. So a long list of things it can be - would be more concerned if there were fevers, blood in the stool or prolonged course. ...Read more
I awoke to cramping, went to bathroom and found lightish black-dark green stool is it due to school stress, not eating well for two week, birth control?
Stress/diet: Most likely your symptoms are due to school stress and/or something you ate. Your birth control is unlikely to affect the color of your stool. Some people can develop an "irritable bowel" during times of stress, and this can cause cramping, constipation and/or diarrhea, try to avoid or reduce caffeine, and increase the fiber in your diet. Probiotics may also help relieve your cramping. ...Read more
