Why Is My Butt Red
Depends on cause: Is it there all the time? Any pimples/pustules? Any fine blood vessels showing? Could be sun exposure, reaction to soap/perfume/lotion/ shampoo/hair color; acne; rosacea; lupus; flushing from niacin; seborrheic dermatitis. See pcp or dermatologist for evaluation & options for treatment.
Cheek Redness: There may be several reasons depending on the appearance, location and duration of the redness. Especially in your age, at the top of the differential is Rosacea, or even sun damage, eczema, contact dermatitis but it may also be a more serious condition such as an autoimmune condition called Lupus. I strongly suggest consulting with a dermatologist.
Visual phenomena: I would want to know more information about your symptoms but even so, you should have a full eye exam by an ophthalmologist (M.D.) soon.
Redness from cut: Keep wound clean, apply antibiotic oint e.g. neosporin, cover with bandaid lightly to protect. Continue until healed.
Purpura?: A vascular (blood) lesion will blanch under pressure. See a dermatologist for diagnosis and treatment if needed.See 1 more doctor answer
What to do if I cannot use make up, foundation etc as I am a guy. What can I do to help with my redness?
I think I might have chronic herps. Can the redness of chronic herps look worse as time goes by while I have it?
No: Herpes characteristically manifests by recurrent painful ulcers. In between outbreaks the areas generally heal completely and don't leave any marks. You may be describing other things if the lesions are always there.
Not possible: Sunburn is response of tissues to injury from solar radiation. It is inflammation (red, hot, swelling, pain (which increases blood flow to the area to promote healing. Do not use ice as this injures already injured skin. Cool water soaks help as can taking anti-inflammation medicines like Motrin or advil (ibuprofen). Avoid any further damage as this can cause scarring. Good skin cream applied daily/gently help.
Aloe Barbadensis: (aloe vera) can v redness, pain, itching ; swelling from burns. It has anesthetic, anti-inflammatory, antibacterial ; antifungal qualities. It speeds burn healing by stimulating new skin growth. V pain by placing cool, moist compresses on skin. Nsaid's ; Acetaminophen can help. Benadryl (diphenhydramine) can be used for itching. Hydrate well ; don't peel off deep layers. See dr for severe burns.
