Spitting up: I assume you produce plenty of milk, She may be spiting up because of a gas bubble, or sometimes, at the beginning of the feed, your milk may shoot out to the back of her throat, making her gag. If this is just a one time event, it's probably not of concern. However, you pediatrician should be contacted and he or she can help you determine if it is a problem or not. Needs thorough eval: What you are describing is not normal. Your son may have a serious illness or condition that needs complete evaluation. This isn't a couple day flu or a couple day fever. These symptoms are concerning. I would not run to the er tonight, but i definitely would make a call to his doctor first thing monday mroning and insist on an appointment within 1-2 days. Yes: You should be concerned and have your child seen by a Pediatrician who will identify the reason for the anemia and poor appetite. Often, anemia results from not enough iron in the diet and can be the consequence of drinking too much mild and not having enough solids. The anemia itself will then lead to a poor appetite. If no other medical problem is present, your Pediatrician will recommend iron supplementation and a well balanced diet for your child. Appetite will improve when the anemia improves. ...Read more
