As : As per the previous doctor's response, anytime you have facial and visual involvement a stroke must be considered. A less serious but very annoying diagnosis may be a bell's palsy. This is an inflammation of the facial nerve causing compression of the nerve as it passes from the brain stem into the face. This nerve supplies the muscles of the side of the face (of course there is a facial nerve for each side of the face). Causes are viral infection, lyme disease, and idiopathic( means we don't know). Treatment can include antiviral drugs and/or steroids. A bell's palsy usually starts getting better in 4-5 weeks. I hope that by now you have been checked out. ...Read moreSee 1 more doctor answer

Canker sore: It's a canker sore, or an aphthous ulcer. I get them too, and they are annoying. The immune system itself causes them, sometimes in times of stress, sometimes in response to certain viruses, or sometimes "just 'cuz". Aside from a pain reliever if they are bad, there isn't much you can do, and they go away without help in about 1-2 weeks. Certain foods like citrus are irritating. ...Read moreSee 1 more doctor answer
