OMG Fibro!: FM is a odd disease that is embedded in your flesh and will cause almost any sign or symptom with no rhyme or reason. I have notice when I eat certain foods it makes either my right side of my head numb or my head numb and my face numb. Why is that?
Very curious: Typical food allergies are not associated with numbness. Ingestion of aged cheeses can lead to headache. Alcohol can cause flushing. If avoidance of these trigger foods results in no further numbness, then that suggests a correlation. However, other conditions that cause numbness should be sought if it persists. Read more
Possible migraines: If these symptoms are intermittent, the possibility of migraines is significant. See a neurologist. Read more
My husband often wakes up with the left side of his face numb and tingly. It generally gets better after he gets up. Can it be from the sinuses?
Need exam: There are many reasons for such a condition, and cannot be answered correctly unless a doctor reviews your medical history, see what area is numb, how much swelling you have, where the swelling seems to originate, etc. X-ray may be necessary to better diagnose. As a dentist, I see often that an infected tooth caused much swelling and abnormal nerve response. See a dentist/doctor today! Read moreSee 3 more doctor answers

Been having different systems since may and getting worse all on left side of face, numb, speaking, twiching, what could this mean? No lung problems.
Hard to say: Symptoms such as those asked about, when all together, may be caused by an anxiety attack. If the anxiety attack is accompanied by hyperventilation (breathing really fast or superficial), than breathing in and out of a paper bag can help shorten the episode. As always, when you have concerning symptoms, please see a medical professional in person for an evaluation. Read more
Been waking up with my face numb and lips. Not allergy related. My lips feel like I have a fat lip but not swollen. Sensation of numbness. Causes?
Face numb: How long have you had this. Pressure from sleeping position can do this. Is it one sided or two? You need to map out the areas of numbness to help the doctor make a diagnosis and treatment. Does it only involve the lip area? That would be the second division of the trigeminal nerve (fifth cranial nerve) Use a picture of a face to map the area on numbness to show to your doctor. Read more
