Hi, ive been on Cerazette contreceptive pill for around 5 months now, but 3 wks late. Took a test 2 wks ago said negative. Please help! ?
I am taking desogestrel. I completed the first 7 pills. my mistake is i took next the 14th day pill instead of the 8th day. will the pills still work?

Your own estrogens may have stimulated the inner lining of your uterus to a point, where the desogestrel is not strong enough to keep it from being shed, which is the breakthrough bleeding. Side effects: dear kermitsf1, Interesting that you are from New Jersey which happens to be in the United States where Cerazette is not "approved." Why not? As far as I know, since it is a simple progesterone and not patentable, no one wants to spend the bucks to get it through FDA. That's why you and others like you can't ask your doctor. Ask your politicians why can't we use a drug safe in other countries! ...Read more
