No: Tinnitus is a central problem secondary to increased electrical activity from the auditory nervous system. There is no medical therapy for this problem. It can: Tmj/tmd can exhibit many symptoms, including tinnitus (ringing in the ear and neck pain. But a neck problem can also be causing the TMJ and/or the tinnitus. So it can be related or maybe not. Huh?WhatDidYouSay??: The pain went away. That's good. Now you'll have to see if the hearing was affected and/or if the tinnitus worsens. You'll probably know within a week or so, after the acute episode resolves (healing) and everything settles back to normal (or a new normal).
