If you have water that is either much more or much less salty than you are, then it is going to be very uncomfortable. ...Read more

Which nose spray?: Some over the counter nasal sprays if used consistently will cause rebound nasal congestion. These include afrin, phenylephrine or any similar medication. Nasal saline and prescription nose sprays should not do this. I usually recommend only using over the counter medicated sprays like afrin for a maximum of 3 or 4 days. ...Read more
Probably not: Running a lot usually results in an adrenergic response of the nasal mucosa. That is, the small blood vessels in the nasal mucosa constrict (narrow) to allow more air in to your nose. So it is not bad. ...Read more
Just asking so i will know about this, will it be bad if you use your nose spray like avamys when you have a runny nose? Are there any better sprays?

If it's due to a cold it probably won't hurt & may even help a little. For runny noses due to irritants like cold air or strong odors topical corticosteroid sprays like avamys are not as effective as topical antihistamines or irpatropium. ...Read moreSee 1 more doctor answer

Depends: There are different causes of rhinorrhea (a runny nose). Allergies are a common cause but it can occur unrelated to allergies ( non-allergic). Vasomotor rhinitis is a common form of non-allergic rhinitis. Nasal saline and nasal steroids (nasacort (triamcinolone) is now over the counter) can be helpful in vasomotor rhinitis. If there is any history of trauma prior to onset of the rhinorrhea, see your doctor. ...Read more
