Not sure what i did to my foot but i have bpttem of heel, and side of foot pain. Swollen and bruised. What should i do? Hurts worse with weight on it
Plantar fasciitis: Most common pain will be due to plantarfascia inflammation. I don't know if by left side you mean in the arch or outside of the arch. If the pain is due to a sprain ie stepping off a curb, you may have pain in the cuboid bone which may be subluxed or out of position. The pain may require manipulation to reduce the position of the cubiod bone back and supportive inserts to prevent relapse. ...Read moreSee 1 more doctor answer
I hit the brake on my car quick to avoid an accident. I hit it with the side of my heel or the side of my foot. Pain in area. Could bone be broken?
Yes: Yes, it sounds like a classic traumatic fracture or dislocation to your foot. However it could be a subtle injury so a clinical diagnosis must be accompanied with diagnostic imaging. I have foot pain on the lateral side of my foot around the fourth and fifth metatarsals when i'm pushing off. Walking barefoot or on flip flops relieves it while wearing sneakers aggravates it. Could it be some kind of neuroma or stress fracture?
Possibly: Neuromas, stress fracture, and capsuliitis are the more common complaints in that area of the foot. A podiatrist would easily be able to determine which of these or another condition you had. It is possible that you have less pain unsupported because that is the position your foot has collaped into and the better supported position is uncomfortable because of the injury. Foot pain is not normal. ...Read moreSee 3 more doctor answers

Stepped: Usually not. But, if it was hard enough, you may have an injury needing attention by a podiatrist or your pcp. It may be just a contusion (blunt injury) with residual pain. If it continues the same for another week and you can't walk on it, get some help. Try ice and rest. You might want to try some Aleve (naproxen) or Motrin also to decrease the soreness due to the injury. ...Read moreSee 1 more doctor answer
Why does the top of my foot hurt i don t have to move it just relaxing and pain shoots through the top of my foot?
Unclear whatis : Meant by "outside lining" but i would rule out peroneal tendonopathy, stress fracture of the 5th metatarsal. Sometimes in cases like this when there is no definitive diagnosis and an MRI is ordered the results reveal "bone marrow edema" which is not a fracture but often the step before a fracture. ...Read more
