Why does my foot swell randomly? I use ice packs/it swells more. Neuropathy or arthritis? Foot hurts every day after slight sprain 4 years ago.
Complex question: You do need to see a specialist, likely a podiatrist. Beyond that, try to identify patterns in foot ; joint pain: when is it worse or better, what joints are involved, alleviating factors (massage, hot soak, etc). I am not 60 i'm 18 and the back of my ankle hurts so bad when i point on my toes or rotate. It doesn't hurt when i walk.?
What is Cause?: Did you injure recently or have an old injury? I see many people with ankle pain long after an injury because they did not have the proper rehabilitation. Restoration of range of motion, strength and propriocepton (balance sense) must be restored after an injury. Physical therapy would help. If no injury then see your doctor to make sure you do not have any arthritis. ...Read moreSee 1 more doctor answer

Exercise : On the surface, what you are describing maybe as simple as patellofemoral syndrome. RICE : You should get a physical exam, preferably from an orthopaedic surgeon, to examine your elbow bones ligaments tendons and joint space.
