Don't worry: Fact is as we get older the sense of smell and taste diminish a bit,however, the lining inside your nose is still very sensitive to many things. Then there is a reflex arc to the central nervous system (brain) and the pathway back to the nose then stimulates the mucous glands in the nasal lining, resulting in the runny nose.
