There are a few: Causes, including severe dehydration or deficits in certain things like potassium or magnesium, which can be life threatening. Is she on a statin? That can cause it as well. My mom has told me not to shower with cold water after the gym because the temperature change causes muscle spams. Is she right?
Ankle sprains: Ankle sprains are not all equal. If you have swelling, bruising and cannot bear weight on your foot then i would suggest an examination.
