Typically not: Mri is the most sensitive test available to aid in the diagnosis of ms. While there are rare cases of MRI negative ms, the vast, vast, vast majority of patients with ms have MRI abnormalities. Spasm: Absolutely, spasm can reduce blood flow and cause pain/aching in the leg. Not sure why you had the steroid IM shot though. Muscle spasm in left groin/thigh while sitting. Am I compressing a nerve? Where is the said nerve?
Yes: It sees like with sitting you are causing compression in the area of the abductors and maybe the gluteus muscles. It depends on your weight and what type of exercise you do, . After deconditioning from fall/pelvic fracture, can control of leg on that side be lost (shaky, sways when trying to stand)? Can standing hurt knee?
Yes, not likely: Your quadriceps muscles atrophy very quickly. Within the first three weeks of inactivity, they become very weak and it is difficult to stand comfortably, let alone walk. Unless there was further leg injury, I would not expect you to hurt your knee. It is more likely that you are experiencing referred pain from the pelvis injury. Seek help from a physical therapist in getting your strength back. ...Read more
