My head hurts when I bend over. Is this from my sinus issues or would that be considered a Migraine Headache?

My head hurts when I bend over. Is this from my sinus issues or would that be considered a Migraine Headache?

Sinus: Migraine is not brought on by positional changes and pressure. That is classic sinus headache. It still hurts and it's not easy to find a way to 'cure'. You are doing good things with irrigation and the antibiotic for times it flares up into an infection. Keep trying ways to avoid allergens, etc. I know how painful it can be - Best wishes. ...Read more

Would a sinus headache (it hurts when I bend over and my head feels stuffy) account for shortness if breath and a lightheaded feeling?

Would a sinus headache (it hurts when I bend over and my head feels stuffy) account for shortness if breath and a lightheaded feeling?

No: Sinus infection should not cause shortness of breath. The sinuses are in the face and head and should not affect breathing unless you also have nasal congestion associated with the sinusitis. But nasal congestion should only produce nasal obstruction and not shortness of breath. Light headedness is non-specific and is rarely due to sinus inflammation. ...Read more

Left sided headache from front of head to back. Mainly temple and around ear. Hurts when bend over and cough and sneeze. Intermittent pain in neck?

See below: You may have an irritated disc or joint in your neck. Coughing and sneezing increases the pressure in the discs of your neck which may suggest this is coming from your disc more than the joints or muscles. Neck pain can cause muscle spasms that refer pain to the back of the head often causing headaches. See your physician if symptoms don't improve within 1 week. ...Read more

Jaw issue?: You may be grinding or clenching your jaws at night. Check with your dentist to find out. However the neck ache may be from something else. Have you sustained a recent injury (car accident hitting the chin or spraining the neck)? If the neck problem is getting worse or has lasted more than 2 weeks without improvement, ask you doctor to check your neck. ...Read more

Can sinus headaches affect the side & back of your head? The headache worsens when I stand up or bend over. Have chronic sinus infection.

No: In my 45 year experience of taking care of patients with documented sinus infection or sinus inflammation, the pain does not travel to the side and back of the head. These symptoms are more likely to be muscle tension headaches, migraine, or vascular in origin. Sinus pain is almost always in the face, eyes and teeth. 33 f healthy left by eye and nose above eyebrow headache when I bend over it throbs has had for 3 days seems to be less and less help?

Sinuses: The eye is surrounded by four sinuses. The eye itself rarely aches without other vision symptoms, but any inflammation, fluid, etc in even one sinus adjacent to the eye can be very painful. Bending over increases the pressure in the sinus and hence the pain.
If no hypertension, steam inhalation, afrin, (oxymetazoline) decongestant pills may help. ...Read more
