Why can't I shave my pubic hair?! I'm a female and when I shave and the hair starts to grow it itches like crazy! Is it normal? I've been struggling..

That may be a sign: May be a sign from beyond. A sign that there is no real need nor any mandate to shave pubic hair. The more people who shave their pubic hair, the more pressure there will be upon other people to also shave their pubic hair (and lead to more cases of ingrown hairs and itchy pubises). Since there is nothing inherently abnormal about pubic hair, there is no reason to shave it off. It's just fashion. ...Read more

I use minoxidil 5% for my hair but it grows hair on my cheeks, front, eyebrows .. is it because I don't cover my head after applying it ? thank you

When you stop using: it, it stops growing hair! So, unless the minoxidil is running down your face while you use it, it should just help locally on your scalp. It won't by itself also increase facial hair. Also the quality of hair is fine and not thick, lustrous hair that is grown. So, if normal facial hair (coarse) is appearing, it may not be because of Minoxidil. See your doctor to examine this for sure. ...Read more

Controlling dandruff: Dandruff (seborrhea) is common. Shampoos with zinc, salicylic acid, selenium, or coal tar are sold in many stores. Nizoral shampoo (contains anti-fungal) is also available. Maybe infectious: or maybe hormonal. Abnormal hair loss may be related to a scalp infection (fungal or alopecia or dry scalp seborrheic keratosis) or hormonal effect (high thyroid, low sex hormones, etc.). Please get yourself to a physician or healthcare professional to diagnose and treat properly. I doubt this problem will go away nor will it improve on its own. ...Read more

Whenever I put water on my scalp, after 3-4mins my scalp strts to produce so much sebum. It happens after every wash. Scalp is painful. What is it?

Boars hair brush: Hot water, styling products (i.e. gels) & using your fingernails when shampooing can contribute to excessive sebum & an oily scalp. You should brush your hair with a boars hair brush - scalp to tip - prior to shampooing. Use warm - not hot - water. Use a clarifying shampoo (or a solution of 1/4 cup vinegar in 2 cups water on your wet hair for a few minutes prior to shampooing). Hope that helps. ...Read more

Am using rogaine (minoxidil) for hair loss since few months. I have frizzy hair and am living in humid environment. Does rogaine (minoxidil) makes hair more frizzy, dry, dull?

Rogaine (minoxidil) for hairloss: Hair dryness and scalp itching can be caused by some formulations containing minixodil (Rogaine). Remember, avoid getting it ON your hair, because that can cause the dryness you describe. Apply it ONLY to the scalp, and allow it to dry completely before styling your hair. ...Read more
