Not necesarily: Look into how much you r feeding him first. Try to make feeds of lesser amount and more frequent. Also use "reflux precautions" in which u keep babies head elevated above stomach for half an hour after each feeding, and lay him with head of crib elevated. There are times when my nursed 1 month old spits up for hours after her feeding. She spits up a lot and can't sleep. Doesn't seem right..
Spitting up: IS she gaining weight?? Does she seem to be uncomfortable when she is spitting up? If yes then she may be having reflux, which is common in newborn babies. Why does my 13 week old baby seem to cry just to be picked up? Happens when fed, nappy changed. Crying stops almost soon as picked up.

More info needed: Is he growing well? Is he voiding and stooling? Are you trying to feed him on a schedule or letting him feed on demand? I would be reassured if he is growing peeing and pooping and just wants to feed on his time. If you are still concerned have the doctor check him. ...Read more
