Also use "reflux precautions" in which u keep babies head elevated above stomach for half an hour after each feeding, and lay him with head of crib elevated. Spitting up: IS she gaining weight?? Does she seem to be uncomfortable when she is spitting up? If yes then she may be having reflux, which is common in newborn babies. Nope: Babies need to burp after feeds because they tend to swallow air with feeding. Some babies do not swallow a lot of air and do not burp. You can put the baby on her tummy for 10-15 minutes at a 45 degree incline after feeds if you are concerned and see if that helps her .
