Why Does It Hurt When I Stand Up After Sitting
Depend on what hurts: A person who has some pain when moving from a sitting position to a standing position can see a doctor for evaluation. Some people have arthritis in their joints, and hurt when joints move. Other people have recent injuries, which hurt if moved. Athletes can get overuse symptoms in the knees and back, which hurt if moved. Internal (chest, abdomen, pelvis) pain can be a problem with organs inside.See 1 more doctor answer

I had pain in tibia/calf area pre/ post acl surgery. Hurts when I stand up after sitting in a chair. Is it possible that I damaged/cracked my bone?
R/O STRESS FRACTURE: Yes: You need to rule out a stress fracture of the tibia. Get tib/fib x ray /MRI or potentially bone scan. If X-ray is - a bone scan is indicated. It takes awhile to heal and you may need pain medication and close follow up. If healing is delayed you can have PRP = PLATELET RICH PLASMA TO EXPEDITE HEALING or PROLOTHERAPY.

Lower back pain, I'm 41 year old femaile with lower back pain, I never had back pain it hurts when I try to stand up after sitting down for a period of time
Different causes: If the pain doesn't go down your legs then it is unlikely to be a disc related problem. Other possibilities include facet joint arthritis, the beginning of spinal stenosis or arthritis due to other causes. If the pain gets worse, is associated with fever or chills, vision changes you need some intensive testing. If not consider some otc analgesics like aleve (naproxen).See 1 more doctor answer
Possible: Plantar fascitis. The condition you describe is known as post static dyskinesia...Or pain after periods of rest and then standing. One explanation is that the ligament contracts while you are sitting and then stretches when you stand and this stretching of the ligament causes the pain.See 1 more doctor answer
Can be anything: Could be muscles, nerves or even joints causing your pain. If stretching, performing core strengthening exercises and nsaids don't help, I would consider speaking with your doctor regarding more thorough evaluation. You may need an ergonomic evaluation to make sure you are sitting appropriately for your spine and job.
Get evaluated: Both gastroenterologists & colorectal surgeons can help you. They will first perform a visual inspection & digital exam after taking your history as to circumstances, duration, quality, timing of symptoms & your risk factors. They may then determine topical treatment or ask to perform further evaluation of the rectal lining. Symptoms may prove functional (proctalgia fugax) & warrant different rx.
Be proactive by: Checking to make sure your seating has armrests and a good back support and possibly adjustable in sitting height. Even then, make sure you get up periodically to breakup the time sitting. Consider exercising -emphasize core stengthening and keep trim along with avoiding smoking.See 1 more doctor answer
Coccydynia: Tailbone pain can occur with or without injury. Only real concern is to exclude a sacral tumor (extremely rare). If bowel/bladder habits normal, probably ok. Treatment included nsaid's, and a sitting pillow. Not a doughnut, but a foam wedge with triangle cutout. This keeps you sitting leaning forward without pressure on the coccyx. If persistent, removal is rarely needed but successful.

I always sit in w-sitting position and I can also lay like this comfortably, Cant sit cross legged because it hurt my ankles. Is this bad for me?
Yes: Pain is usually an indicator that something is causing damage to the body. You may have weak ligaments on the outside of the ankles causing the pain. There are other possibilities as well. You should have this evaluated by a physician. It can likely be treated with non-invasive measures (exercise therapy, etc.).

Musculoskeletal: The symptoms are seen most often with a musculoskeletal strain. You may have done something to overwork those muscles recently.
